What kid (or adult for that matter) wouldn’t want to eat in a restaurant with dinosaurs everywhere?!

T-Rex is a table service restaurant located in Downtown Disney, next to the Lego Imagination Center. Their entree prices range from $15 to $36, and they do accept the Disney Dining Plan. They offer a variety of American cuisine, including a great kids menu with the classics and more. Scrumptious dessert offerings round out this menu that is sure to please everyone in your party.
My family and I were so excited about trying out this restaurant. My son loves Dinosaurs, and from the pictures we had seen, it just looked like so much fun! We had an early dinner ADR for 4pm. When we arrived they were able to seat us right away. We ended up sitting at a table by the aquarium. It was a great location!
We all loved what we ordered and the atmosphere was very intense and exciting! The kids loved all the Dinosaurs. Every 10 or 15 minutes they would all roar and there would be a meteor shower! We enjoyed it tremendously! However, that part of the experience may not be for everyone. It is very loud! My family was not bothered by that, and for us, it was really a plus. The kids could be noisy and no one noticed. Very kid-friendly!
Now to the main attraction, the food! For our meals, we ordered the Tyrannosaurus T-Bone (which was very yummy), the Layers of Earth Lasagna (yummy again), the Mega Mes-O-Bones (yummy still), and for the kids, the Dizzy Chicken (1/4 rotisserie chicken) the Jurassic Chicken Tidbits (nuggets). The kids both gobbled up their meals so I would say another yummy for the kids meals! For dessert the kids both got 2 chocolate chip cookies. This was not what was on the menu, but my kids were not going to like the ice cream sundae (I’m sure it is very good, but ice cream is just not my kids’ cup-of-tea). We explained the issue to the CM waiting on us. She was very understanding and said she would get them each a cookie instead. This made for two very happy kids! For the adults’ desserts we tried the Ice Age Indulgence, which is layers of ice cream sandwiches with whipped cream and chocolate syrup, and the Cosmic Key Lime Pie. It was all so good! Now, portion size. You would think from the amount of food they put on each plate that they were feeding a large Dinosaur! There was so much food! You could definitely consider sharing a meal if you were so inclined.
Inside the restaurant there was a gift shop and a Build-A-Dino by Build-A-Bear. We enjoyed building a sabertooth tiger! Once we were finished, we headed out to the dig site, located right outside of the Build-A-Dino, to see what kinds of fossils we could find. They supplied the kids with paint brushes and buckets to “excavate” with.

Fun was had by all at the T-Rex restaurant, and this is definitely a “must do” for my family!
