Gentlemen (and ladies), start your engines, new Disney rumors have been speeding around the track! As many of you know, the addition of Cars Land recently opened up at Disney’s California Adventure Park in Anaheim, CA. It has been reported that the themed land has been hugely popular, even more than executives had originally expected. Fans are flocking to visit at a lightning fast pace (pun intended). So the question comes, will Disney try to duplicate this new land at some of the other parks worldwide?

Some are saying YES! Many believe, or want to believe, that Disney’s Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World resort in Florida is the next to have this super speedy land towed in. The supposed addition will replace the area presently occupied by the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show.

Another reason Disney may be looking to revamp Hollywood Studios is because of the competition! The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has boosted attendance at Universal Studios. In order to stay ahead in the race, Disney must look at what they can add that will keep fans returning again and again. Hollywood Studios could definitely use a makeover! Some of the attractions are quite outdated and not up-to-par for much of the younger crowd. They just don’t understand that “old Hollywood” flavor. The combination of rides that Cars Land has to offer could definitely appeal to the “whole” family. Sounds like a win to me!

There are some cons in this scenario as well. Although Disneyland and Disney World share several similar rides, the differences between the two are vast. What would the appeal be for those on the West Coast to journey East if they already have the same attractions where they are, and vice versa? It may hinder Disney’s tourism in the end. I personally think there are many other options out there that Disney could explore to keep the parks diverse and enticing. As much as I think Cars Land would be fun, I’d much prefer something else. Besides how else would I convince my husband we need to visit Disneyland?

It’s hard to know if this is a likely rumor or just the wishful thinking of die-hard Disney fans. For now we’ll just have to wait and see! If Disney World executives get into starting position and the green flag is waved, no “mater” what, we will be bringing you all of the details clear up until the wave of the checkered flag too!
