Though it’s not something I am particularly proud of, I will admit I am NOT a patient person! I do not like to wait for Dr. appointments, I do not like waiting in traffic, I do not like waiting in line at the grocery store and I most definitely DO NOT like waiting while I’m on vacation! Which is why I love the FastPass system at Disney parks.
If you are not familiar with this service let me give you a quick overview. FastPasses allow you to bypass the regular line (and regular wait time) by collecting a pass to return at a designated time to visit the attraction later with a minimal wait. Most of the popular rides and attractions have them. It is a wonderful way to make the most of your time in the parks. Of course your Wishing Well Travel Agent can help you figure out the best way to use them too!!
In an effort to always keep things new & fresh Disney will be testing an upgrade to the current FastPass system. From September 18-24, select guests will be given the opportunity to try FastPass Plus. Guests will be invited to go online and pre-select 4 FastPass+ experiences in the Magic Kingdom prior to their vacation arrival. They will then be able to use these in the parks at the attractions they chose. I am interested in seeing how this test phase pans out and what it will mean for the future of the FastPass system. No matter what the result, I’m certain Disney has many new and exciting ideas up their magical sleeves! Anything that helps me avoid a 60 minute wait with 2 children to ride a 5 minute ride equals a WIN in my impatient book!
