FABCC8The First Aid Stations and Baby Care  Centerslocated inside Disney parks are  not a secret, yet they are overlooked by many. I know for us, when our first  child was little we never went to the Baby Care Center. If a diaper needed to be  changed we simply went to the restroom and used a changing  table. If we needed a break but didn’t want to leave the park we found a quiet,  out of the way spot and people watched. The Baby Care Centers never even crossed  our minds. When our second child came along we took her to Walt Disney World for  the first time when she was just 4 months old and we still didn’t use them. It  wasn’t until we lived in Florida and started going to the parks every week that  we took notice of these wonderful facilities.
The thing that first lead my family to one of  these facilities was the need to store medication. Our daughter has epilepsy and  required medications through out the day.  I had read that the First Aid  Station would store medications for you and refrigerate them if needed. We  decided to check it out and we were very pleased to find this information to be  correct. The Cast Member was very helpful and we were able to leave her  medications there and come back for them as needed.

Some may wonder why go out of the way to the Baby Care  Centers or First Aid Stations. Well, when we were planning our last trip I  started thinking about the issue of being in the parks with mydaughter, who was now a “big kid” but not yet potty trained due to her special needs. Where was I going to be able to change her? I knew I was not the  only person who had ever come up against this so there had to be a simple  solution. The changing tables in most of the restrooms in the park are fairly  big and could accommodate my then 5 year old, however, when the child is older  or you have an adult then you need a much more  private environment  for  changing. We found both of these facilities to be  great options for changing diapers. The Cast Members are very friendly and  helpful and we never felt uncomfortable changing our daughter there. Another  option for changing is the companion restrooms located throughout  the parks, but if you need somewhere for them to lie down  you will find the First Aid Station and Baby Care Centers to be very comfortable  environments.
In each of  the parks the First  Aid Stations and Baby Care Centers are located next to one another. There are  signs that make them very visible and you can also easily find them on the map  of each park. If you find your family needing a little pit stop from the busyness  of the parks, check out the Baby Care Centers and First Aid Stations.  You will  find them to be cool, comfortable and just what you need for a nice little  break.
