With all the fabulous choices, it can be difficult to choose what to bring home from your Walt Disney World vacation as your family’s special souvenir.  The one thing that shouldn’t be hard to decide is where to buy those souvenirs, you have to check out The World of Disney at Downtown Disney.   From the fun, interactive spitting Stitch outside the store to the pirates rattling their cages inside, you won’t know what to look at first.  There’s even a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for your little princesses to be made over into their favorite Disney princess inside the store.  Be sure to have your agent book your appointment if you are planning to enjoy the boutique. Whatever you are looking to bring home to remember your wonderful trip is at this store.  There’s a kitchen section, a jewelry and handbag section, toys galore, a huge men’s section, including golf attire and accessories.   My children could spend hours in this store.  There is so much to see and do inside.  So many fun characters and colors to view.  They even have the giant crocodile from Peter Pan in the watch section.  Tons of great photo opportunities to be had [...]

Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage

If you’ve got a Pirate fan in your traveling party and you are looking for a super fun way of viewing the fireworks at the Walt Disney World® Resort, you have to check out the Pirate & Pals Fireworks Voyage! This amazing night starts out with a private party at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.  Upon arrival at the party before the fireworks cruise, you are greeted with a special pirate bandana and all the yummy snacks you can eat.  There are Mickey ice cream bars, cotton candy, fresh fruit, popsicles, popcorn, drinks and cake, just to name some of the treats.  During the party Captain Hook and Mr. Smee drop by for a special pirate visit and to take pictures with all the guests.  The party is also captained by two very special pirates that will later captain your fireworks cruise.  They lead the way to the boats and play fun games and sing songs on your way to viewing the fireworks. Once aboard the ships, there is music, trivia games, fun sing a-longs with the pirate captain, even a change to win a cool pirate prize.  The captain positions your ship into the perfect viewing area for the nightly fireworks [...]

A Look at The Seas with Nemo & Friends®

By |2016-12-16T14:56:07-05:00June 5th, 2013|Disney Travel Tips, Janice|

If you've ever visited The Seas with Nemo & Friends® Pavillion at Epcot® you realize how many true Aquarium elements there are.  If you haven't visited, you must check it out, my children could literally spend a couple hours in there! It's a fun, educational, hands-on Sea oasis right inside Epcot®.  You are able to view many different kinds of fish, including sea turtles and dolphins, inside the huge tanks.  You are able to see the marine biologists feed manatees and do a question and answer session with guests.  Your children can also play in a kid-friendly area with some of the sharks from Finding Nemo.  This area is also a great place for some fun pictures!   One of the most fun attractions inside this Pavilion, in my mind, is Turtle Talk with Crush.  It's a great, 15 minute, audience-interactive show that features Crush, the 150 year old turtle from the movie Finding Nemo.  Inside, the children are invited to sit on the floor in the front of the room, while the parents can sit on the benches.  Crush then comes to visit and asks questions of the children, it creates some hilarious moments.  You never know what the kids [...]

Brrr…..Blizzard Beach

Looking for a vacation at Walt Disney World, that also has a little bit of Winter snowy fun?  You've got to try Disney's Blizzard Beach.  This amazing water park is filled with tons of attractions that are perfect for any group.  It's so fun and just so inventive. Blizzard Beach is a huge water park that appears as if a major snow storm has hit Walt Disney World and the results are super fun.  There is a giant wave pool called Melt-Away Bay in the middle of the park that delivers giant waves every few minutes.  Surrounding the entire park is the amazing lazy river, Cross Country Creek...grab a tube at any of the many openings and just float around the park til your hearts' content.  It's so relaxing and the perfect attraction at Disney World because there are never any lines! My favorite attraction at Blizzard Beach is the huge family tube ride, Teamboat Springs.  Guest take a ski chairlift to the top of the ski mountain (or water slide mountain) and board a large tube that can seat up to six people.  It's the perfect ride for your group to do together. Two areas of Blizzard Beach that the kids in your group will [...]

If you are looking for a character meal with a little extra magic, check out the Crystal Palace in the heart of the Magic Kingdom.  Whether you are looking for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you're in luck because it offers all three.  There is something extra magical and special about eating your meal in the center of the Magic Kingdom and being able to look out and see Cinderella's Castle! All three meals offer a buffet, with many different selections for children and adults. You'll find fresh fruit, many different fresh salads, carved meat and vegetables. There is also a special dessert bar with so many delicious choices. At the Crystal Palace, you'll get a chance to dine with and meet Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eyore and Piglet.  Your little ones will love the chance to parade around the restaurant with all the characters between bites.  Each character will make a trip to your table and be available for pictures and of course, autographs. If your choice is for breakfast, it's a perfect place to start your day at the Magic Kingdom, you can even manage to get some pictures in front of the castle before the days' crowds start [...]
